Job Title:  Shop Foreman/Safety Officer 

Location: Mesa, Arizona 

Job Type: Full-Time 

Job Description: 

As the Shop Foreman, you will be responsible for managing our shop floor operations and ensuring that our production processes are safe, efficient, and of the highest quality. You will also be responsible for the safety of our workers and for ensuring that they are properly trained and equipped to perform their jobs. Experience as a machinist is preferred for this position. 

Responsibilities: 

• Manage shop floor operations, including production schedules, inventory control, and quality control 
• Ensure that our production processes are safe, efficient, and of the highest quality 
• Maintain a safe working environment for all workers, and ensure that they are properly trained and equipped to perform their jobs 
• Oversee and train machinists in the operation of our metal 3D printing machines 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that production targets are met and that we are continuously improving our processes 

Requirements: 

• High School diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in machine technology or related field is preferred 
• At least 5 years of experience in shop floor operations, preferably in a metalworking environment 
• Experience as a machinist is preferred 
• Knowledge of production scheduling, inventory control, and quality control processes 
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills 
• Strong leadership and interpersonal Skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Skills:  

• Experience in RND 
• Experience working with in a start-up company 
• Creative problem solver that can bring multiple disciplines together with the ability to assess risk and make design and development decisions without all available data
• Strong sense of accountability and integrity with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, driven, and demanding atmosphere
• Work experience as a machinist 
• Experience in MIG welding
